A Yellowwood Park resident was tragically shot and killed in his driveway earlier this evening.
Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said the resident had driven up to the gate of his Coedmore Avenue property and was waiting for it to open when he was gunned down at around 7.10pm.
“Suspects who were allegedly driving a Toyota Tazz opened fire on the resident and shot him three times in the arm, chin and below his right arm,” Mathios said.
“Paramedics arrived and declared the resident deceased at the scene. An eye witness allegedly spotted the suspects fleeing down Kenyon Howden Road in a dark coloured Toyota Tazz. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage,” he said.
Montclair SAPS are currently investigating at the scene of the crime.
