Her aunt, Nosipho Goba says Conabeer’s mother was woken up by a noise near the door just after midnight on Sunday.

“She thought that it was dogs. They usually stay there in front of the door. She decided to go out and check and found her lying there.”

Goba says they could only see one bruise on her niece’s arm and another on one of her knees.

She says they rushed her to hospital.

Police are awaiting post-mortem results to determine what caused her death.

The circumstances around her disappearance remain a mystery.
