Ehekwini Municipality has welcomed the re-opening of the Hilton Hotel Durban, which is set to significantly bolster the City’s tourism sector as Tourism Month kicks off. The reopening adds to Durban’s luxury accommodation inventory, enhancing the city’s appeal to travelers.
EThekwini Mayor Cyril Xaba highlighted the strategic benefits, stating, “The phased re-opening of the hotel will amplify our business case when bidding to host national and international conferences.”
Mayor Xaba also emphasized the broader economic impact: “Apart from enhancing the tourism experience, the re-opening will contribute immensely to job creation. The proximity of the Hilton Hotel to the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre is a great advantage for business travel, offering convenience and security.”
