A 42-year-old woman’s body was discovered this morning in Magwaveni, Thongathi.
The woman’s body was found by Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) members, who were alerted by a concerned citizen. The body was found floating in the water, underneath a bridge used by pedestrians.
A community member reported hearing a woman’s screams last night, but didn’t investigate further.
The woman’s family reported that she had left home to buy groceries yesterday at 17h00 and never returned.
