Born in 1967, Xaba holds a postgraduate degree in Law (LLM) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban. His extensive leadership background includes positions in the Congress of South African Students (Cosas), Natal Students Congress, University of Natal Black Students Society, ANC Youth League, ANC Regional Executive Committee, and Provincial Executive Committee.
Xaba emphasized collaboration and commitment, stating, “You can rest assured of my support to work hand in hand with all the political parties and other stakeholders to ensure that this city works for its people.” He highlighted the importance of responsibility and meeting public expectations.
Xaba expressed gratitude to the ANC, city officials, his office staff, and his family for their unwavering support, as he embarks on a new chapter of leadership and hope for the Municipality of eThekwini.
