The Hollywood Foundation is once again set to empower women-owned businesses through its ongoing partnership with the Nomzamo Lighthouse Foundation’s Empowering Her Women in Business Seminar & Awards. Now in its fourth year, the prestigious event will take place on September 14, 2024, at the Inanda Country Club, showcasing the Hollywood Foundation’s commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs across South Africa.

As the primary SMME development funder for the event since 2021, the Hollywood Foundation has provided crucial business resources to past winners, helping their ventures grow and succeed. This year, 260 entries were received from 100% black women-owned businesses in industries including ICT, automotive, construction, and tourism.

The awards ceremony, hosted by internationally renowned actress and businesswoman Nomzamo Mbatha, promises to be a celebration of female entrepreneurship. Key partners African Bank and the Hollywood Foundation will lead panel discussions on finance, branding, and operations, with a keynote speech from Mbatha herself.

One of the most anticipated moments of the evening will be the announcement of the top 10 winners, who will share an R800,000 sponsorship from the Hollywood Foundation. This significant investment underscores the Foundation’s goal of uplifting women in business, ensuring they can make meaningful contributions to their industries and communities.
