Zahara had decided to take matters into her own hands by gigging in order to get money to pay off her debt. She is allegedly in debt of R17 665.40 after apparently taking out a loan of R1.9 million for her Roodeport home.

Reports suggest she had asked Kaizer Chiefs for help with giving her a stadium for free to perform at. According to a report from Daily Sun, a 3-hour concert might do the trick

“I want to plead with Chiefs and Kaizer Motaung when they have their next
match. I don’t want to do much. I just want to sing my heart out. I can do a three-hour show. All I’m asking for is the sound equipment, stadium and ambulances as well as other things,”
 she added.

Even the public can pledge their support, “Even if it’s as little as R100. I’m open for help from anyone!”

Shortly after the news, a video circulated where Zahara tells her supporters to march to DJ Sbu and TK Nciza’s offices to demand money for her royalties.

“If you guys say you love me, you need to go to these companies, SAMRO, Share Public and our record labels Universal TS Records, and find DJ Sbu and TK Nciza. If you really care about me…I can’t be fighting alone, I do not have money to pay for lawyers. My money is sitting there, that same money I can even build a clinic at my village.

“But you guys are only enticed by what you see on TV. I wrote Loliwe alone. DJ Sbu does not know anything about Lolilwe. I wrote Loliwe and performed it on the streets with people giving me coins. Today they all know Loliwe?” she asked.

If her plea to Kaizer goes well, Zahara might be a step closer t getting what she desires and has been desperate for, for all these years.
