The Democracy Development Program NPC (DDP) held a media briefing at their Durban office, led by Executive Director Dr. Paul Kariuki, to highlight DDP pre, during, and post-2024 activities.
Dr. Kariuki detailed DDP’s extensive engagement, including hosting 8 journalism workshops for 85 journalists and participating in 45 election-focused talk shows.
“The summit will address critical issues often overlooked by the media,” Dr. Kariuki announced.
Emphasizing the importance of collaboration between DDP, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), and media stakeholders.
The upcoming media summit, scheduled for tomorrow at Elangani Hotel in Durban, aims to enhance public understanding of democracy and further educate both society and the IEC. The briefing concluded with an invitation to the summit, reinforcing DDP’s commitment to fostering informed civic participation and journalistic excellence in promoting democratic values.
