In a shocking move, Zizi Kodwa has tendered his resignation as Sports, Arts and Culture Minister, effective immediately. The sudden departure comes amidst swirling allegations of corruption and maladministration.

According to sources, Kodwa’s resignation is linked to his involvement in a contentious R400 million government contract with EOH company, that was led by the former CEO Jehan Mackay. It is alleged that Kodwa used his position to facilitate the deal during his tenure as African National Congress (ANC) General Spokesperson and member of the party’s national executive committee (NEC) .

In a statement, Kodwa expressed his gratitude to stakeholders in the sports fraternity, sponsors, and partners who have worked with the department.
