The KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) government, led by Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli, visited Othongathi, eMagwaveni, on Tuesday, June 25. The purpose of the visit was to assess the situation after the area was hit by severe flooding that destroyed homes and displaced 12 families.

“As I walk around, I see the devastation, and as the KZN government, we apologize for the suffering. Every department must work together to support the people of Othongathi to restore their lives to normal,” said Ntuli. He urged the community to work with the government to rebuild their lives.
