Three people including an infant have been killed in a horrific head-on crash between two vehicles on R43 between Hermanus and Stanford in the Western Cape this Good Friday evening.
The road was closed after the crash between an ambulance and a Nissan bakkie around 18h30.
Overstrand Municipal Manager, Dean O’Neill said that authorities were on the scene awaiting the forensics.
“We are awaiting forensics to arrive. Debris and oil still needed to be cleared from roadway,” he said.
Earlier on, 11 people were killed when a bus collided with a minibus taxi between Leeu Gamka and Beaufort West in the same province.

It’s alleged that the bus collided into the minibus taxi which was parked on the side of the road after it experienced a tyre puncture.
All the eleven allegedly died on the scene.
