The owner of Marumo Gallants Mr.Abram Sello, is in negotiations with Max Tshabalala, the owner of Bloemfontein Celtic, to buy the team and return it to the Premier Soccer League (PSL). Sello recently bought the PSL Status of Moroka Swallows FC, this means Marumo will participate in PSL DSTV Premiership 2024/25 season.
Reports indicate that Tshabalala is demanding R5 million to sell the team’s name and 10% shareholding to Sello.
It is recalled that Tshabalala previously sold the status of the team to Royal AM’s Shawn Mkhize in the 2021/22 season.
The sale of Bloemfontein Celtic has left fans in Free State disappointed, as the team has a huge fanbase and a rich history in the province.
