The Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety has reported a devastating accident that claimed the lives of 10 people and left 24 others injured.
The accident involved a mini bus and a truck bus that collided on the R42 road in Delmis, Mpumalanga, earlier today. The mini bus was traveling to Malahleni while the truck bus was traveling to Bronkhorstspruit when the accident occurred.
According to the report, the mini bus driver attempted to turn onto the N12 highway from Johannesburg when the vehicle lost control and collided with the truck on the R42 road.
The report states that eight people were injured in the mini bus, including the driver, while 18 people were injured in the truck bus, with six others critically injured. All the injured were rushed to the hospital.
