The football fraternity is mourning the death of former Zambia international player Justin Shonga.

The news of Shonga’s passing was confirmed by Zambia Police spokesperson Dan Mwale. According to reports, the 27-year-old player died today at a hospital after a short illness.

Shonga was a talented player who played for Orlando Pirates during the tenure of coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic.

He also played for other teams including Tsha Madzivhandila FC, Cape Town City, and Sekhukhune United.
