A frantic search is on for a missing mother, 40-year-old Zaenab Arshad and her 13-year-old son Thaiker Arshad who have been missing from Wednesday afternoon.
The two are reported to have left their home on Windsor Road in Umhlanga Rocks, KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday afternoon to pick up medication at a Pharmacy in Overport in Durban.
According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) CCTV footage from the Pharmacy confirms that Zaenab paid for the medication and exited the store at approximately 17h00 but they cannot be located ever since.
Zaenab was driving a brand new dark grey BMW X6 M50i. The vehicle did not have registration plates. Both their cellphones are not reachable.
Zaenab is fair in complexion. She has dark brown hair shoulder length hair. She was dressed in white pants, a black t-shirt and white sneakers.
Thakier is fair in complexion. He has short hair and is chubby. No clothing description could be provided for him.
RUSA has asked anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Zaenab and Thaiker to kindly contact the police on 10111 or RUSA on 086 1234 333.
